SESR Athletic Association - Concession Stands: Parent Info
Letter
Coaches
·
Concession
schedules will be handed out as soon as possible. This may or may not be the same time as game schedules.
These Concession Stand schedules need to
be passed out to your team immediately!
·
Head
coaches are the only coaches not required to work concession duty. Assistant coaches are required to work.
·
Coaches:
please notify the Concession Worker Scheduler if anyone has quit or is no
longer on your roster. Their scheduled concession
duty must be reassigned.
Parents
·
Every
family with a child on a softball/baseball/t-ball team is required to work one shift per child in the
concession stand. NOTE: If you have two
kids in the program, you are responsible for working two separate shifts; three
kids, three shifts, etc.
·
A $75
check (payable to SESR Athletic
Association) must be collected for
each child in the sport program; these checks must be turned in to the
softball/baseball coordinator before a team will receive their schedule. Checks will be returned at time of uniform
turn-in, if scheduled concession duty is completed. If scheduled shift is missed, the check will
be kept and cashed.
·
Coaches
will provide initial schedule – subject to change based on weather and/or game
reschedule. You will be notified of
changes at least one week prior to your shift by email and/or phone.
·
Concession
stand duty consists of working (along with some other parents) for
approximately
4 hours in the concession selling food and drink.
·
Only one
person per family( must be 21 years of age to work concession) per
child needs to work each assigned shift. If only one child in the program, only one
parent works the assigned shift. If two
kids are in the program, only one parent works each of the two assigned shifts,
and so on.
·
Please be sure and sign-in on the sheet
provided in the concession stand so we can verify you worked your assigned
shift.
·
‘Free’ Drink: Each
worker is entitled to one small fountain drink per shift. The concession stand is designed to generate
money that helps to keep our program fees down.
Shifts should not be viewed as lunchtime or dinnertime for the workers.
·
Field Coordinators:
One person from each concession shift will be assigned as a field
monitor. This person will periodically walk around the fields as a
representative of SESR Athletic Association to make that presence known. If any conflicts/issues should arise, the
field monitor will have a list of appropriate people to call for assistance.
People uncomfortable with this assignment can switch with another concession
worker.
·
It is
acceptable for people to trade their concession duty with someone else (all
coaches will have a copy of the master concession schedule). Be sure to note
this on the parent sign-in sheet inside the concession. NOTE: You are still responsible for your originally scheduled
shift, even if trades are made. If your assigned shift is not covered,
your check will be cashed.
·
A
complete concession schedule will be available on our website at www.sesrsports.com.
Updates will be posted as necessary.
